Cybersecurity Workforce in the APAC region

This 11.8% increase from the previous year signals a positive trend in the industry’s efforts to bolster its defences against cyber threats. The ISC2 report highlights a record-high talent gap of 2.6 million professionals needed to adequately safeguard digital assets. This 23.4% increase from the previous year marks the largest gap observed globally, a distinction shared with North America.

This stark disparity underscores an urgent need for strategic action. The ISC2 emphasises the critical importance of continued investment in the cybersecurity workforce. It calls for comprehensive measures, including enhanced training programs, aggressive recruitment efforts, and the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
